Flower for Ukraine

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been difficult for me.

It disturbed me to think of children, mothers, daughters, sons, and fathers, who were living their lives just last week, and are no longer here today. I have Russian friends who are dear to me and have talked of their horror and sadness and given me insight into what people are having to deal with in both Russia and Ukraine.

I think about what I can do and I’m honestly at a bit of a loss. I’m no soldier, so volunteering to fight is impotent. What’s the Ukrainian resistance going to do with a pacifist? I could bring my acoustic maybe and play them some songs. 

So in my frustration, I turn to art. It feels so inept and insignificant. 

But let us not forget.
